Paul Ainsworth Falcon Equine Feeds
Paul Ainsworth - Company Director/Owner
Paul was brought up with horses, helping run the family riding school while competing horses on the national circuit. Unable to afford 'ready-made' horses Paul made the best of other peoples 'un-ridable cast-off's' and retrained them to achieve many great results including:
1st Everest Double Glazing Young Riders Championship 1987 at Hickstead 1st Young Rider Championship of Great Britain 1987 at Hickstead
Paul was forced to give up competitive riding due to injury therefore needing a change of career. He started an Agricultural Contracting Company giving him 10 years of vast knowledge of crops and ingredients. This then led to the start of Falcon Equine Feeds with the desire to bring the best nutrition possible to the equine world. Paul has researched for 5 years and worked with a top independent nutritionist to design specific quality designed diets for all equines. Other specific research has been aimed at reducing and preventing skeletal and tendon injuries due to everyday wear and tear and sporting strains which has resulted in the launch of EquiElements .www.equielements.co.uk.
Sarah Ainsworth - Financial Director/Owner
Sarah competed ponies from the age of 12 producing 2 ponies from novice to JA. After school she started training with many different Showjumpers to gain experience, Lionel Dunning in 1988 then to Andy and Anna Austin. She then started riding young horses for owners at her own yard while being trained by William Funnell, sucessfully bringing horses through the novice grades to sell on. Sarah then broke her pelvis and hip in a fall which put her out of action for a while. Whilst recovering she was international groom for William which gave her a great insight into more serious competition and particulally the demand put on horses at that level and gained great experiance watching and learning from all the different riders around Europe. Sarah and Paul met in 1997 around the time Paul stopped competing and started the company with him, she is always behind the scenes looking after the financial side of the business and running it along side Paul.
Lizzie obtained a degree in Equine Sports Performance in 2007 and received a 2.1 (Hons). She has a particular interest in Equine Nutrition and will soon be studying for a masters in the subject. She has worked and competed with Her own horses and run Her own Full Livery business. Lizzie also has experiance of Eventing and Showjumping yards and Stud work. Lizzie is a great asset to the company in ensuring our customers are looked after and happy.
