Ben Maher and Rolette produced an excellent clear, picking up a single time fault.

"That's one out of the way," he said. "She was jumping a little high in the warm-up, and I was a bit worried that she was almost jumping too well. She's an unbelievable horse, and I wouldn't swap her."

“The travelling, settling and working in the heat is something that she has become so accustomed to that it has been a good preparation ground for Hong Kong.”  Ben

Jane Gregory and Greenlands Farm Ltd's Lucky Star picked for the Olympics!!

“I am in a state of shock! My goal this year has been to improve my riding and my training; we’ve been enjoying our international success so much and never dared to hope we would be in contention for an Olympic team position. I have ridden Lucky Star since he was 4 years old, he is an extraordinary horse and we are both preparing to give this all we’ve got.”

Ben Maher and Mr Daniel Paul's Rolette picked for the Olympics!!

“It hasn’t quite sunk in yet.  I can’t quite believe that I’m going!  Ten months ago my horse Rolette was jumping 1.40m National classes and I was having the worst year ever, however when she won the Maastricht and Mechelen Grand Prix’s at the end of last year I knew I had a good horse.  She’s going from strength to strength and I believe her best is yet to come.  To ride at the Olympic Games is everyone’s dream – I feel incredibly lucky.”

Ben and Rolette win Mechelen Grand Prix

Ben Maher and Rolette finished 2007 on a high note with a massive win in Belgium. The pair won the large and very tricky Grand Prix class in Mechelen’s CSI 5* competition in Belgium on 29th December 2007.

The CSI 5* event at the end of 2007 was a great show for Ben, on the Thursday Ben won the 1.35m on Rolette and Pablo won the 1.35m. Then on the Friday Rolette finished third in the 1.45m and Pablo seventh in the Six Bar, but this all built towards the great win in the International Grand Prix class on the Saturday night on Mr Paul’s wonderfully consistent mare, Rolette.

Mr Springfield, the horse Robert Smith rode into fourth place at the 2004 Olympics, made a triumphant return to competition in the Bic Accumulator on Olympia's third afternoon.

After competing in Athens, Jimmy McCloskey's Irish-bred gelding travelled to the Calgary Masters, but then suffered an injury that kept him out of competition for three years. This was his first victory since he returned to competition in October.

"And he feels as good as — if not better than — ever before," said Robert, who finished well clear of Austria's Julia Kayser (HBC Dancing Queen) and German star Marcus Ehning on For Fun.

Robert Smith On Form With Falcon

Robert Smith is one of the latest top riders to officially endorse our feed products. As one of the leading names in British and international show jumping, Robert has been feeding all his horses a variety of feeds from the range for some months and has been delighted with the results.
The two times British Open Champion and 2004 Olympic rider says:

"We have noticed a difference in our horses' performance and general condition since we introduced them to a diet of feeds from Falcon Equine earlier this year. We have horses with a variety of different nutritional requirements. The fact the feeds are so well balanced in terms of nutrients makes our feed regime much easier, yet very effective. We no longer need to add lots of different supplements to their rations because they are getting the nourishment from the feed. The feeds are natural, are of consistently high quality and delivered fresh too." Robert Smith.

"We are delighted that more riders from all disciplines are feeding their horses Falcon Equine products, and are pleased to have the support from names at the top of the sport." Paul Ainsworth MD Falcon Equine Feeds.
