LG Race Mix is low in starch and helps maintain gastric health. Lower in starch than traditional racing feeds. Higher in Oil Omega 3 and Omega 6 fatty acids. Contains probiotic live yeast and rice bran. Added B vitamins ensures efficient energy production. Carefully balanced levels of calcium and phosphorous provides a source of energy for exercise training and continued growth.

LG Race Mix has been specifically and professionally formulated with maximum performance and health in mind for the modern racehorse. The specific formulation of LG Race mix provides a number of unique features with numerous benefits to the race horse in training. The reported incident of gastric ulcers amongst racehorses is very high, significantly reducing performance.

There are many factors implicated in their development including: diet, feeding management, stress and intense exercise. LG Race Mix contains less starch than conventional racing feeds, directly affecting the ‘starch load per meal.

Smaller more frequent meals containing lower levels of starch ensures adequate mixing in the stomach, helping to prevent the long periods of fasting between meals associated with the development of gastric ulcers.

Many racehorses in training are still immature and continue to grow during training.

It is important that their nutritional requirements for growth as well as exercise training are met.
